Steve Beebe graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Indiana State University
and began his professional career as a caucus assistantfor the Indiana Senate Democrats in 1979,
reporting to then minority leader Frank O'Bannon.After five years, he entered the private sector and
served as a contract lobbyist representing multiple clients and later as an association and corporate lobbyist.
He directed the three year effort of the Indiana Commission on State Health Policy before coming full circle
to once again represent multiple clients as a contract legislative and government affairs consultant.
Steve was a board member of the Governmental Affairs Society of Indiana and formerly served on the
Board of Directors for the Indianapolis Press Club
Mark Scherer attended Purdue University, received his bachelor's degree from Indiana University,
and earned his law degree from Indiana University. He worked nearly 15 years for the Indiana Legislative
Services Agency, the nonpartisan legislative staff of the Indiana General Assembly. In his last full time
position with the Agency, he served as Director of the Office of Code Revision where he was responsible
for the review and editing of all legislation and for overseeing the publication of all Indiana legislative publications.
Mark has experience in state regulatory work from employment with the Indiana State Board of Health.
He has also worked in the federal legislative process in a Congressional office on Capitol Hill and currently
serves as general counsel for the Indiana Health Care Association.
